Summerland Yacht Club Membership
Summerland Yacht Club is always looking for new members to join our club. If you are interested in membership, please apply online at the bottom of this page. You must become a member to apply for the wait list for moorage. Listed below is an example of the costs involved.
Membership Fees
Regular Membership
- Preference is given to applicants living within 60km of Summerland. Applicants living elsewhere will be considered depending on availability.
- You must complete an Application Form online.
- There is a one time only non-refundable initiation fee of $ 2,500.00
- Currently, annual dues are $ 428.00. This includes:
- Membership Fee $ 268.00
- Volunteer Hours Fee $ 160.00 (refundable with each hour volunteered)
- Currently moorage fees are $38.00 per foot, $836.00 minimum charge
- There is an annual Capital Improvement Fund Levy (currently $400.00)
- Power $100.00 (if applicable)
- Security Key Fob $ 40.00 optional and refundable
- Taxes are extra
Sponsored Membership
- Sponsored Membership is for jointly-owned vessels. One owner must be a Regular Member, the other owner would be a Sponsored Member. This membership gives the second owner independent access to SYC Clubhouse facilities and their jointly owned vessel.
- You must be sponsored by the Regular Member. Your membership will end when the Regular Member ceases to be a Member, or at the request of the Regular Member.
- Currently, annual dues are $428.00. This includes:
- Membership Fee $ 268.00
- Volunteer Hours Fee $ 160.00 (refundable with each hour volunteered)
- There is a Capital Improvement Fund Levy (Currently $400.00)
- Security Key Fob optional and refundable
- Taxes are extra
All fees listed above are subject to change at the Annual General Meeting.
All fees and dues are payable by February 28 each year.
